Thoughts & Keys to Steelers victory at the Ravens and picks of the week

Steeler Nation the season is about to start, and what better way to start it than by kicking the Baltimore ravens tails. Ben Roethlisberger has never been beaten by the ravens and I don't see them doing it tomorrow at Baltimore.


Roethlisberger and the Steelers high power offense should have their way with the ravens soft secondary and rookie CB Jimmy Smith. Look for Ben and the Steelers wide receivers to exploit this weak spot of the raven's defense .

The Steelers defense should have a field day with this ravens offensive line. Michael Oher is now at a new position at right tackle and Baltimore just brought in new comer Bryant McKinnie at left tackle. McKinnie is just a shadow of the player he used to be . A huge shadow at that.

Woodley and Harrison should have a good game against these two.

Gone is the leadership of tight end Todd Heap and WR Derrick Mason for the ravens and they will missed.

The Steelers always seem to have raven QB Joe Flacco's number. The Steelers must keep Flacco confused and ready to make mistakes.

The only way I see the Steelers remotely losing is if they have too many turnovers and beat themselves .

I really don't see this game as close as meetings of the past.

The Steelers should win by more than a touchdown.


Now on to picks of the week... Remember these picks are for amusement purposes only. Some will make you laugh and some will have you laughing all the way to the bank.

If I was a betting man I would take...

$$$$ The Steelers +1.5 over the Ravens ....Ben Roethlisberger is a raven killer once again.

$$$ The Jets -6 over the Cowboys... Jets soar over Cowboys banged up secondary!

$$   The Bills + 6 over the Chiefs ... Bills will play Chiefs and banged up  Matt Cassel  tough.

$      The Falcons -2 over the Bears... Matt Ryan and Falcon's offense too much for the Bears.
