Keys to Steeler victory at Saints and My Picks of the week.

On Offense : The Steelers running game has to show up big time this week. The Super-dome will be loud and the Steelers might have a hard time with pass protection at first so it will be essential that they can run the ball. Establishing the run will help keep

the Saints QB Drew Brees and his offense off the field and that's never a bad idea . It will also help slow down the pass rush .Rashard Mendenhall and the Steelers offensive line must have a huge game. Ben Roethlisberger and the offense can not afford mistakes like last week. A few big plays early form the passing game would not hurt either ...The Steelers need to take this crowd out of the game as early as possible.

On Defense : The Steelers have to make Drew Brees as uncomfortable as possible .They can not afford for him to get in a rhythm with his wide receivers . They have to blitz or show blitz often and confuse him as much as possible . They need to sack him and pressure him often . The Steeler Secondary needs to have a huge game. If they get their hands on the ball they must intercept it . You don't want to give Brees any second chances . The Saints are hurting in the running game so that should not be a problem. Troy Polamalu and company must bring their A game and not give up big plays but make big plays.

So there you have it the Steelers will be going into a tough place with a rowdy crowd on Halloween on national television ...What better way to show the world they are the team to beat?!!

Now for my Sunday picks of the week... after a tough week last week of 1-3 vs. the spread my record for the season is 17-11 and I'm looking to bounce back ...as always these picks are for amusement only...I hope your smiling all the way to the bank!

The Cowboys -6.5 vs Jacksonville... Romo being gone is not that bad after all and the Jags are that bad after all.

The Steelers + 1 over the Saints ….The Steelers night is full of treats as they unmask Brees and the Saints . $$

The Vikings + 5.5 over the Patriots ...Peterson runs wild on the Pats soft defense. $
