That which does not kill us makes us stronger

    A new season begins . The 2010 regular season has ended . The Steelers have had a wild journey to this point. Dealing with all the off the field drama ,losing key players to injury ,dealing with fines,  trading a key member of the offense, a rookie center starting and making line calls.

  A lesser team may have fell and wilted in the face of all this adversity but not the 2010 Steelers . It only made them stronger.

No Ben ? No problem ,Troy Polamalu and the Steelers defense took over and the Steelers go 3-1 without Ben. Who is going to take over for Santonio Holmes ? No problem wide receiver Mike Wallace comes back and has a break out year not to mention the key contributions from the rookie wide outs Emmanuel Sanders and Antonio Brown .

Rookie center Maurkice Pouncey made the Pro Bowl and has played better than anyone could of imagined coming into the season. Kevin Colbert and the Steelers scouting department have done a wonderful job once again.

Ben Roethlisberger has made great strides not only as a player, but as a professional and most importantly as a person coming back to win The Chief award and now seems to be on the right track.

Its been a very crazy season and head coach Mike Tomlin has done a great job of facing every challenge and never letting his team get down. The standard is the standard and Tomlin has proven that when he says this, its not just coach speak but a way of life for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Tomlin in my opinion should be named coach of the year . No coach has faced such trials and tribulations and not only met expectations but exceeded them.

So Steeler Nation its a new season and it starts January 15 at Heinz against the much hated Baltimore Ravens. What happened during the regular season means nothing .Its win or go home. The road to 7 has begun , lets all enjoy the ride!
