Keys to Steelers victory Vs. Bengals

On Offense : The Steelers offense needs more touchdowns and less field goals. They must score touchdowns in the red zone . The offensive line must continue to grind and fight. The injuries to the Steelers offensive line have been plenty but they continue to find a way to get it done.

They must continue that mentality this weekend and through out the season. They should have a much easier time this week as the Bengals defense is ranked 20th in total yards allowed with 347 average yards a game.

QB Ben Roethlisberger has to continue to play mistake free football and make smart choices. The Bengals defense can be passed on .They allow an average of 222.4 yards passing a game which is 16th ranked in the NFL . I think the Steelers will continue to incorporate the young wide outs into the offense so look for Antonio Brown and Emmanuel Sanders to get more action in the receiving game.

The Steelers running game needs to have a good game and should have little problem against this Bengals run defense that is ranked 24th against the run allowing 124.9 yards rushing a game. Running backs Rashard Mendenhall and Isaac Redman should both be able to run in this game and must not fumble away opportunities . The Steelers offense should have little problem against this Bengal defense that has allowed 26.8 points per game ,28th rank in the league

On Defense : The Steelers defense needs to come out and just dominate. They are a superior team and need to not play down to their competition. The Steelers defense must not let the Bengals offense back into the game like games of the recent past.

The Steelers must continue to blitz QB Carson Palmer and make him as uncomfortable as possible in the pocket . Palmer has thrown 15 interceptions and has been making plenty of bad decisions this season. He has a QB rating of only 80.1

The Steelers secondary must shut down both WR Terrell Owens and WR Chad Ochocinco . Owens seems to be the Bengals top wide out with 71 catches and 9 TDS. The Bengals offense has struggled at times this year averaging only 21.2 points a game that's 20th in the league.

The Steelers Defense is #1 against the run and should have no problem stopping the Bengals 26th ranked running game. RB Cedric Benson has only averaged 3.5 yards a carry.

The Bottom line is the Steelers are a far superior team then the Bengals in almost every way. The Steelers must play that way and not play down to the Bengals level. This is the time when the good teams get hot in December and get ready for playoff football. I think the Steelers should make short work of the Bengals and beat them easily.

So there you have it and don't forget where you got it...Spread the word about the blog and as always have a great Steeler Sunday ...Here We Go Steelers , Here We Go!
