Steeler Nation the time is finally here! Steeler's training camp week 1 is now in the books as the 2012 Pittsburgh Steelers begin their quest for their 7th Super Bowl Championship. The journey begins here . This is the time and place where champions are molded . Over the next few weeks Steeler's coaches and players will establish the foundation of the 2012 Steelers.
Many battles will begin and end during camp , but training camp is not only a place where battles take place but where comradery grows and chemistry is formed. The Steelers lost a lot of leadership with the departure of players like James Farrior , Hines Ward , and Arron Smith and the ups and downs of training camp will provide great opportunities for new leaders to step up.
For the next few weeks players will be eating and breathing football with out many outside distractions . When its all said in done coach Mike Tomlin and his staff will know what players have what it takes and what players may be big mistakes. The grind of training camp has a way of weeding out the pretenders from the contenders. So Steeler Nation savior this time of year. Its a new beginning and great teams start with a great foundation . It should be a very interesting training camp and it all starts in Latrobe.
