Back in the driver's seat!

  Steeler Nation its been awhile after a long hiatus I'm back and ready to roll...The Pittsburgh Steelers are now 10 -3 and with three games left they are back in the driver's seat for the AFC North division title not to mention possible command of the AFC as the #1 Seed and home field advantage through out the AFC playoffs. All thanks to the Chargers whipping the ravens 34-14

The Steelers now control their own destiny in this quest . Win the next three and its theirs for the taken. The first task at hand will be beating the 10-3 San Francisco 49ers at San Francisco . The 49ers are a tough opponent with a stingy defense .

The 49ers defense has not allowed a rushing touchdown this season . They only give up an average of 70.5 yards rushing a game and rank 1^st in points allowed with an average of only 14 points a game.

This is a very stout 49er's defense. They will be without their top defensive player in inside linebacker Patrick Willis who is out with a hamstring injury.

On offense the 49ers are ranked 25^th in total offense behind Quarterback Alex Smith. Smith is having a good season with 15 touchdown passes and only 5 interceptions and a QB rating of 91.5.

The 49ers running game is lead by running back Frank Gore who has 1054 rushing yards with an average of 4.5 yards a carry. The Steelers must shut down Gore and make Smith try and win it with his arm.

Steeler's quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is going to play with a high ankle sprain . The Steelers will also be with out their all pros center Maurkice Pouncey and Linebacker James Harrison .

Steeler Nation we have seen this all before . This is the point in the season where its time to separate the pretenders from the contenders . The Steelers will once again rise to the occasion .
